sf04 enjoys the breakfast of champions

To picture Carrie’s living conditions accurately, go to your nearest college dorm. We’ll wait.

I debated holding this update back until Monday, since I just updated a few days ago. I don’t know if I’ll have new scenes for next week. But I figured I may as well get them out there now, since I’m not really on a schedule anymore. It’d be NICE to be on a regular schedule, and I know you’d dig that, but I’m working my writing in and around a lot of other stuff in my life right now. There Will Be Writing, but I can’t say when, exactly.

Okay, enough doomsaying. Enjoy your doom flavored teenage angst. Remember, for an appropriate soundtrack, just drop Dashboard Confessional into Pandora. It should enhance the experience.

Oh, and sorry for the cliffhangery ending.

The rising anxiety of being alone with everyone else dead… well-played.

This reminds me, I guess she never could have left Hawaii without help, huh? After all, she can fly, but she needs to eat too. Ocean is too wide.

You slipped in a “Susie” for a “Carrie” here: “Susie deadlocked for a moment”

I love the bank teller. And I guess she would know Carrie, since the bank is probably a frequent target for uninformed would-be criminals.

“Milton sold his comic book shop and retired from the sale of an Action Comics #1” — so he sold both the comic shop AND the #1 and retired, eh?

I suspect the broken-armed suspects are rather less likely to thank her for her good work. OTOH, maybe her little pep talks have a subtle psionically-inspirational effect. ;)

“They’ll nuke planet” — This could stand as-is because he’s speaking fast and angrily and casually, but perhaps you mean to add a “the”?

Thanks for the early update!

The problem with leaving Hawaii was that she got eaten by a Kraken when she tried, and was digested for a good while before she managed to punch her way out. It kinda sucked and discouraged her from trying again.

I’ll fix up the other typos and confusies.

Had a bunch of catching up to do, been busy with school, but I’m all up to date now.

More Carrie is always welcome!
