That subject describes my personal hell.

That and a few other bugs popped up after we launched the fishing game last night. Thank god we launched early rather than tonight — so many issues came up. Scalability. Email throttling. Server connection fails. Baitless mode not actually working. AGH. Why did nobody report that last one, at least?!

I have had a hellish bunch of hours before and after sleep, fixing, issuing updates, fixing, issuing updates. Thankfully, most of the bugs are now dealt with… hopefully. Others will fall by the end of the day, before tonight’s big launch party.

I will be very happy when today is over. I’m proud of the fishing game, but my god, this launch has been rocky.

Will have a much more jovial update next, after the party. Hopefully.

This is why coding standards generally say that conditionals should be stated as (1 == x). Then if the == is mistyped as =, it’s an outright error rather than something compilable.
